Dr. Gabriel Aprodu, a prominent pediatric surgeon, passed away on September 21 at the age of 75, leaving a significant impact on his colleagues and students. His death was announced by the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children "Sf. Maria" in Iași, where he dedicated nearly 40 years to pediatric surgery, including 26 years as head of the Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedics Department. Aprodu was not only a skilled surgeon but also a mentor who shaped many young doctors' careers. His retirement six years ago did not diminish his legacy, as colleagues continue to honor his professionalism and guidance. Dr. Dan Apostol expressed deep sorrow over Aprodu's passing, highlighting his role as a model of professionalism and a cherished mentor.
