Lilia Dragneva, director of the Contemporary Art Center, tragically died in a car accident in Vaslui at the age of 52. The incident occurred on October 10, when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a bridge. The accident also injured three passengers, including the wife of Moldova's Minister of Culture. The Moldovan authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash, while the artistic community mourns her loss and has initiated fundraising efforts to support her family.
