Two tourists were stabbed near the Acropolis Museum in Athens by a 60-year-old homeless Greek man, who was quickly arrested. The victims, of Greek-American descent, were attacked unprovoked early in the morning. The woman sustained minor injuries, while the man suffered serious wounds. The assailant is believed to have mental health issues and had previously been arrested for inappropriate behavior. Such knife attacks are rare in Greece.
