Two men suspected of assaulting a taxi driver have been placed in preventive detention. After the driver escaped, the suspects stole the taxi, which was later found abandoned in a wooded area. Police quickly identified both suspects, aged 21 and 24, from Toplița. The incident occurred on August 22 when the men requested a taxi and assaulted the driver after he stopped the vehicle. The victim managed to escape and call emergency services. One suspect drove the stolen taxi without a valid driver's license before abandoning it.
