Doi judecători de la Curtea de Apel Pitești, trimiși la judecata CSM după condamnarea lui Daniel Chițoiu. Inspecția Judiciară îi acuză de „rea-credință”

Two judges from the Pitești Court of Appeal are facing disciplinary proceedings for their role in increasing the sentence of former Deputy Prime Minister Daniel Chițoiu. The Judicial Inspection claims they acted in bad faith by considering the defense's actions when determining the sentence. Chițoiu was sentenced to four years in prison for culpable homicide after a fatal car accident. The judges justified the harsher sentence by citing the severity of the crime and Chițoiu's behavior during the trial. The Judicial Inspection argues that the judges' reasoning could discourage the exercise of legal rights by defendants.
