Doi cetățeni ruși, trimiși în judecată după ce ar fi folosit certificate false de cetățenie română

Two Russian citizens are facing trial for using false documents to obtain Romanian citizenship. They allegedly presented fake citizenship certificates to Romanian authorities in 2024, claiming they were issued by the Romanian Embassy in Bratislava. The individuals submitted requests for the transcription of their Russian birth certificates, attaching the fraudulent citizenship documents. Based on these, they received Romanian identity cards and electronic passports, despite not having legally acquired Romanian citizenship. Prosecutors are seeking the annulment of the false citizenship certificates and related identity documents. The accused have not been located and are being tried in absentia.
