Doi alpiniști, blocați în peretele Văii Albe din Bucegi

On August 8, 2026, rescuers from Salvamont Prahova are attempting to recover two climbers trapped in the Valea Albă wall. An emergency helicopter from Târgu Mureș was requested but could not assist due to worsening weather conditions. The situation remains critical as the first rescuer has been inserted, but aerial intervention is currently suspended. This incident follows a previous tragedy in July 2026, where one climber died and three others were injured after a safety rope broke. Since the beginning of the year, eight people have died in mountain accidents in the area.
