Documente false, tentative de migrație ilegală și contrabandă cu țigarete, descoperite într-o săptămână pe Aeroportul Otopeni

Between July 20-23, border police at Henri Coandă International Airport uncovered multiple cases of false travel documents, illegal migration attempts, and undeclared excise goods. Over 32,000 cigarettes and 1.5 kg of tobacco were confiscated. Four individuals attempting to board a flight to Dublin presented fake Norwegian and Irish passports, while a woman traveling to Paris was found with a fake Irish passport and 15 counterfeit identity documents. A Turkish citizen was stopped for using a business visa for tourism, leading to her return to Istanbul. Ongoing joint actions with the Romanian Customs Authority resulted in further confiscations and a criminal case for smuggling. The Border Police will continue to enforce laws against illegal migration and cross-border crime.
