DOCUMENT | Programul de guvernare Luca Niculescu: strategie națională pentru competitivitate și consiliul național de productivitate
Designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu has proposed a national competitiveness strategy and a national productivity council to enhance Romania's economic standing. This initiative responds to concerns from the business sector about Romania's declining competitiveness in Europe, which threatens investment opportunities. Mihai Bordeanu, head of Dacia, emphasized the need for infrastructure investment, cheaper energy, and labor law flexibility. Recently, over 4,000 major Romanian companies issued a ten-point plan to boost competitiveness, signaling urgent action. The government program includes a comprehensive strategy focusing on innovation and funding growth, aligning sectoral strategies, and establishing an independent productivity council to guide reforms based on productivity analyses.
