The designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu plans to establish a new authority for defense industry coordination in Romania. The National Authority for Defense Industry (ANIA) will integrate public and private sectors, serving as a single contact point for military product regulation and industrial cooperation. Niculescu aims to publish the SAFE project portfolio within the first 100 days, ensuring that at least 60% of SAFE contract values contribute to local production and technology transfer. Additionally, the government intends to strengthen ROMARM as a national integrator through mergers and restructuring of related companies, while implementing performance contracts for state-owned enterprises.
