Designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu aims to attract a strategic investor for TAROM and private involvement for Terminal 2 at Otopeni Airport. The government will support a revised two-year business plan to ensure TAROM's viability by the end of 2026, while maintaining essential domestic routes. A transparent procedure for attracting a strategic investor is planned for 2027. Additionally, the government seeks to develop Terminal 2 through public-private partnerships to alleviate congestion at Otopeni Airport. A traffic study will assess potential routes for Băneasa Airport to support regional airport investments. The government will also unify aviation operators under a common governance framework for maintenance and production.
