DOCUMENT Arhivele Securității dezvăluie haosul din spatele unei ”bijuterii” a industriei grele din comunism: Șantierul fusese lansat cu mare pompă, dar realitatea din spate era îngrozitoare

The Tulcea Shipyard was established in the early 1970s as a strategic investment for Romania's ocean fishing fleet. Despite initial plans, the project faced significant challenges, including equipment shortages, organizational issues, and inadequate training for young workers. Security documents reveal that the shipyard struggled with poor working conditions, lack of essential tools, and disciplinary problems among workers. Additionally, students on internships were exposed to hazardous conditions without proper supervision or safety equipment. The project was monitored by the Security Service, which reported ongoing issues that hindered the shipyard's operations and the safety of its workers.
