Dobânda BNR rămâne neschimbată. Din cauza inflației, banca centrală păstrează dobânda cheie la acelaşi nivel, de peste doi ani de zile - Economica.net
The National Bank of Romania's Board decided to maintain the monetary policy interest rate at 6.50% per year, along with unchanged rates for lending and deposit facilities. Inflation rates showed a significant decrease in July and August 2026, attributed to the fading effects of previous price controls and tax increases. Economic activity stagnated in Q2 2026, with a slight contraction year-on-year, while household consumption continued to decline. The trade balance and current account deficits increased, influenced by rising imports. Employment data indicated slight decreases in the workforce, but a notable drop in the unemployment rate was observed. Monetary market rates experienced fluctuations, and the annual growth of private sector credit slowed down.
