The National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) has initiated an investigation into Dantes Bratu, head of the Labor Inspection, after he was filmed allegedly receiving bribes in his car's trunk. The investigation was prompted by images published online. Bratu, known for his long tenure, was reinstated by the former Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan in early September. He was caught on camera after a meeting with regional Labor Inspection heads, where several deputies approached his vehicle to leave packages in the trunk.
