The DNA has detained nine individuals, including the heads of the Halmeu Border Police and Customs Office, for forming a criminal group that accepted bribes from drivers crossing the border. The suspects are accused of demanding amounts ranging from 50 to 1,900 euros. Prosecutors have initiated legal action against these individuals and are continuing investigations into 38 others involved in the case. The group allegedly organized and coordinated activities to facilitate bribery related to border control duties. During recent searches, over 300,000 euros were seized from the suspects' homes.
