DNA prosecutors have charged Dorel Marcel Dume and Valerică Anichitoaie with abuse of office and complicity in the same crime. They allegedly orchestrated a scheme to defraud public institutions by inflating prices for goods and services, resulting in a loss of over 1.17 million lei. The investigation revealed that Dume used his influence to manipulate procurement processes, ensuring that inflated invoices were accepted despite lacking proper documentation. Additionally, a plea agreement was reached with Dorin Marian Privantu, who acknowledged his involvement and accepted a suspended sentence. The case has been forwarded to the Bihor Tribunal for further proceedings.
