Dispută între Ungaria și Ucraina din cauza inițiativei lui Zelenski. Budapesta a fost inclusă fără să-și dea acordul

Hungary and Ukraine are engaged in a diplomatic dispute following the launch of the "C8" initiative by Volodymyr Zelensky, aimed at enhancing cooperation in security, energy, transport, and trade. Hungary's Prime Minister Péter Magyar claims that while Hungary was invited, it declined to participate, leading to criticism from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who accused Hungary of obstructive policies. Magyar emphasized that Hungary should not be represented as part of an initiative without its consent. Tensions also arose over a proposed oil storage agreement between Ukraine's Naftogaz and Hungary's MOL, which Magyar's party opposes without government approval. This situation marks a shift from Hungary's earlier willingness to engage more pragmatically with Ukraine, as it had previously lifted its veto on Ukraine's EU accession talks in exchange for minority rights guarantees.
