Starting today, the Fetești bridge toll is eliminated, making travel to the seaside cheaper. However, road tax prices are now based on vehicle pollution standards, with electric cars paying the least. Annual fees vary from 228 lei for electric vehicles to 330 lei for older models. Short-term rates have also changed, with older cars facing a daily fee of 29 lei. Existing road tax remains valid until expiration. Additionally, trucks over 3.5 tons will no longer pay a fixed fee but will be charged based on distance, road type, weight, and pollution level, requiring registration in the new TollRo system. Non-compliance will result in significant fines.
