He emphasized the need for Romania to not only rely on European defense investments but also to enhance its own production capabilities in the arms sector. Negrescu highlighted the importance of integrating Romanian companies into European production chains and creating well-paid jobs. The ongoing SAFE program supports Romania's military investments amid regional tensions, although there are concerns about delays in local arms deliveries.
