„Discriminare”: China amenință Franța cu măsuri după ce a adoptat legea fast-fashion

China has criticized France's new fast-fashion regulations as discriminatory and threatens retaliatory measures. The law, adopted by the French Parliament, imposes financial penalties on single-use fashion items starting September 1. It targets major Asian online retailers like Shein and Temu, which are known for their low-quality, high-volume clothing sales that contribute to textile pollution. A Chinese commerce spokesperson stated that the law violates World Trade Organization principles and urged France to correct these practices. Financial sanctions will gradually increase until 2030, reaching up to 20 EUR per clothing item, and advertising for low-priced brands will also be banned.
