Previously, in July 2026, both UM Cugir and the Arms Factory were raided by DNA prosecutors, with Trifan confirming he was targeted during those searches. He mentioned that the investigations were related to a procurement contract, and while his phones were confiscated, no restrictions were placed on him. Despite the ongoing investigation into the defense industry, the DNA has not released any official statements regarding Trifan's case.
