Directorul CNAIR: Stadiul lucrărilor la Drumul Expres Brăila-Galați a ajuns la aproape 97%. Ploile au amânat lucrările la podul peste Siret

The installation of a new segment of the cable-stayed bridge over the Siret River, part of the Brăila-Galați Express Road, has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Heavy rains in the past 24 hours forced the contractor to delay the operation, despite having equipment and workers on site. Work will resume as soon as weather permits. The bridge spans 307.75 meters and consists of nine segments, each weighing 90 tons, positioned using a 700-ton crane. The overall progress of the Brăila-Galați Express Road is nearly 97%, with a total length of 10.76 kilometers and a contract value of 449.42 million lei, funded through the Transport Program 2021-2027. This expressway will enhance connectivity between major Danube cities and contribute to regional economic development.
