Directorul Centralei Nucleare de la Cernavodă spune că Unitatea 2 ar mai putea funcționa 10-11 zile, în urma intervențiilor de pe Dunăre

The director of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant, Romeo Urjan, announced that recent interventions on the Danube have extended the operational time of Unit 2 by a few days. Following an operation at the Bala rock, the water level in the intake basin increased by about two centimeters, resulting in an overall gain of approximately four centimeters. This translates to nearly two additional days of operation for the reactor. However, forecasts indicate a continuous decline in the Danube's water level, which may necessitate the shutdown of Unit 2 in five to seven days unless further measures are taken. Additional barge installations could provide another two to three days of operation, with ongoing dredging efforts potentially adding four to five more days.
