The Senate has approved a bill allowing school directors and inspectors to be partially or fully exempt from teaching duties. This legislative change aims to ease the workload of educational leadership personnel in pre-university education. The specific regulations will be established by the Minister of Education after consulting with relevant trade unions. The bill also extends this exemption to representatives of trade unions involved in monitoring educational quality. For partial exemptions, teaching duties will be limited to 40% for school directors and 30% for inspectorate staff.
