Diplomații români care susțin democrația și libertatea presei vor putea primi Premiul Rațiu

The Rațiu Prize for Diplomacy has been launched to honor Romanian diplomats who promote democracy and press freedom. Announced by Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu, the award will be given annually on September 1, coinciding with Romanian Diplomacy Day. Named after Ion Rațiu, the prize aims to recognize contributions to democratic principles. Țoiu emphasized the importance of dialogue in foreign policy and the legacy of Rațiu in advocating for Romania's Western orientation. Nicolae Rațiu expressed pride in the award, linking it to his father's commitment to Romania's Euro-Atlantic integration. The initiative is part of a collaboration between the Foreign Ministry and the Rațiu Foundation.
