Din cele peste 7.000 de dosare care s-au închis pe motiv de prescriere a faptelor, parchetele au contestat 3 cazuri

After the European Court of Justice allowed Romanian prosecutors to reopen cases closed due to prescription, only a few cases have been pursued. The General Prosecutor's Office, DNA, and DIICOT reported minimal actions taken. DNA identified two cases, including one involving former ANAF chief Sorin Blejnar, while the General Prosecutor's Office found one case related to tax evasion. DIICOT has not initiated any extraordinary appeals. Since 2022, over 7,000 cases have been closed due to prescription, amounting to significant financial damages.
