Diana Stoica, USR, cere documentele privind activitatea lui Lucian Pahonţu ca ofiţer al Trupelor de Securitate

Diana Stoica, leader of USR deputies, has requested the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Romanian Gendarmerie to provide documents regarding Lucian Pahonțu's activities as an officer in the Security Troops from December 1989 to June 1990. She emphasized the need for transparency, citing the lack of progress in uncovering the truth about Pahonțu's involvement during significant historical events. The Gendarmerie has confirmed the existence of classified documents but has refused to release them, claiming they are service secrets. Stoica argues that this classification does not justify withholding information from a deputy. She has also called for a list of all identified documents and their classification status, as well as the initiation of declassification procedures. USR is pushing for Pahonțu to be summoned for hearings in Parliament, advocating for public access to these discussions.
