Buzoianu stated that only industrial water misuse could lead to legal action, and the current water usage threshold remains unchanged. She attributed the spread of this fake news to disinformation campaigns, which have caused public panic. Claudiu Târziu, a euro-parliamentarian, was identified as the source of the false information, which went viral on social media.
