Diana Buzoianu, despre scandalul de la ANM: Consiliul de Administrație, blocat de luni de zile

The Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, criticized the National Meteorological Administration (ANM) for lacking a quorum in its Board of Directors due to blocked appointments by AMEPIP. She stated that the agency has not approved qualified candidates for months, preventing decision-making. Buzoianu also called for the resignation of ANM director Elena Mateescu, citing financial irregularities, including inappropriate purchases made with public funds. Mateescu has denied political motivations behind the calls for her dismissal and has reported the issues to the police. Buzoianu emphasized the need for accountability and recovery of misused funds, while stating that no replacement for Mateescu has been identified yet.
