Diana Buzoianu: Control Body's report identified dozens of systemic issues at ANM

The Ministry of Environment's report revealed serious issues at the National Meteorological Administration, prompting calls for leadership resignations. Interim Minister Diana Buzoianu highlighted that management was aware of procurement irregularities as early as November 2025. Following whistleblower reports, an audit was initiated, leading to mass resignations in the procurement department. The report uncovered misuse of funds for luxury items, and Buzoianu criticized the leadership for negligence. ANM Director General Elena Mateescu denied wrongdoing and claimed political motives behind the accusations.
