The interim Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, announced that the ministry won a first-instance lawsuit against Marilena Stoian, the former director of the Buzău-Ialomița Water Administration, who was dismissed after the Paltinu crisis left over 100,000 people without water. Buzoianu criticized Stoian for failing to inform authorities about the water supply risks and stated that Stoian has appealed the decision. The dismissal followed a report from the Ministry's control body, which revealed that the Buzău-Ialomița administration did not adequately inform local authorities or users about the potential risks during water level reduction works. The report has been forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for further investigation.
