Romania has exceeded its target for ecological islands installation, with 5,091 completed, surpassing the 5,000 goal set in the PNRR. The total investment amounts to 72.75 million euros. These islands will facilitate the separate collection of various types of waste. The digitalized ecological islands are installed in 36 counties, with notable installations in Bacău, Bihor, Arad, Cluj, and Constanța. Future assessments will focus on their effective use after local procedures are implemented.
