Dezastru pentru India. Producţia de orez, cea mai mare din ultimii 20 de ani - Economica.net
India's rice production is expected to decline for the first time in a decade, with a significant drop due to below-normal rainfall affecting yields. This decrease could lead to higher domestic prices and more expensive exports, as other exporting countries also face rising prices. Despite the anticipated drop of around 10 million tons, analysts believe India's large rice stocks from previous record harvests will allow for continued high export levels. The area planted with summer rice is down nearly 4% compared to last year, and local prices have already begun to rise. India's rice reserves remain at a record high, exceeding government targets, which may prevent export restrictions.
