Romania's artistic gymnastics team faced a disappointing performance at the World Championships in Rotterdam, finishing 19th out of 24 teams. The team scored 151.996 points, indicating a significant decline in the sport's status in the country. None of the Romanian gymnasts qualified for the finals, marking a historic low. Individual performances were also underwhelming, with Alexia Blănaru ranking 52nd and Anamaria Mihăescu 54th. Coach Camelia Voinea criticized the lack of support from the federation and called for equal treatment and financial support for all athletes. She emphasized the need for transparency and fairness in gymnastics to foster growth in the sport.
