A prisoner at Aiud Penitentiary is set to be tried for destruction after damaging property within his cell. The incident occurred in December 2024, but the case only progressed past the preliminary chamber in September 2026. The inmate allegedly broke three glass panes in his cell and one in the bathroom using a metal piece from a chair, causing damage worth 486.66 lei. A trial date has yet to be established.
