Despăgubiri uriașe pentru o româncă! Italia îi dă peste un sfert de milion de euro după o eroare judiciară
A Romanian woman will receive over €261,000 in compensation after being wrongfully imprisoned in Italy for nearly four years. She had already served a sentence in Romania for the same crimes. The Italian courts ruled that her detention violated legal principles against double jeopardy. The case emerged when she attempted to enter Italy and was found to have a prior conviction. She spent 996 days in prison and an additional 228 days under house arrest. The Bari Court of Appeal granted her compensation for the entire period of unlawful detention.
