Deșertul Atacama, cel mai arid de pe Pământ, este acoperit acum de flori sălbatice
The Atacama Desert, known for its aridity, has experienced a remarkable bloom due to heavy rains from El Niño, leading to the growth of over 200 plant species. This event, termed "Desierto Florido," has transformed the traditionally brown landscape into a vibrant display of wildflowers. Record rainfall levels were recorded in Chile, attributed to a super El Niño phenomenon, which has also caused flooding and chaos in other regions. The blooming area is estimated to cover around 17,000 square kilometers, making it the most extensive bloom since 1997.
