Descoperiri arheologice la Troia / Cetatea ar fi reînceput să fie locuită mult mai repede decât se credea, după ce a fost distrusă de către greci
Recent archaeological excavations in ancient Troy have revealed a public area dating back approximately 2,800 years, suggesting the city was repopulated sooner than previously thought. Researchers discovered the oldest agora in the region, challenging the belief that Troy remained abandoned for centuries after its destruction. Excavations, ongoing since 2014, aim to clarify events following the Bronze Age collapse. Findings include a paved street, an entrance, and architectural remnants linked to the agora, along with pottery from the early Iron Age. Experts believe settlers may have arrived just 80 to 90 years after Troy's fall, indicating a continuous occupation of the site.
