Descoperire neașteptată pe fundul mării: Aproape 1.000 de bombe din al Doilea Război Mondial blochează extinderea unui port important
Approximately 1,000 World War II bombs were found in the sea at the port of Thessaloniki during expansion works. The munitions, weighing between 15,000 and 20,000 tons, are located under concrete structures, hindering construction. The Thessaloniki Port Authority has requested assistance for their removal. Local reports indicate the bombs were detected through magnetic surveys in the area of the sixth pier. It is believed that the old munitions were left by German occupation forces before their withdrawal in 1944.
