The Romanian Ministry of Economy discovered that 75,000 promotional albums, paid for 20 years ago, were never delivered. Minister Irineu Darău reported the case to the National Anticorruption Directorate after finding that 41,000 albums remain unaccounted for while the printing company continues to sell them. The issue dates back to a 2006 contract worth 2.6 million lei for promoting the Merry Cemetery in Sapanta. The investigation revealed broader problems in managing tourism promotional materials, with significant stock remaining unused for years. Darău emphasized the need for accountability and proper management of public funds.
