Descoperire inedită la Pompei: un tavan cu fresce inspirate din mitologia greacă a fost reconstituit

Archaeologists in Pompeii have unveiled a partially reconstructed vaulted ceiling from a banquet hall, adorned with Greek mythology frescoes. This innovative restoration was showcased at an international workshop focused on new discoveries in the UNESCO World Heritage site. The ceiling, believed to be from a second-floor dining area next to a bakery, features a curved support structure for the fragments. The main theme of the artwork depicts the union of Dionysus and Ariadne, a well-known myth from ancient Greece.
