Descoperire incredibilă, după 13 ani de căutări. Arheologii au găsit un sat minier vechi în Alpii din Italia • Newsweek România
After 13 years of research, archaeologists have uncovered an ancient mining village in the Italian Alps, dating back to the 5th century AD. This site will be permanently showcased in the newly opened MIRCarona museum. The excavation revealed well-preserved structures, including roasting furnaces used for iron ore processing. Although the site is now covered for safety reasons, further research is anticipated. The museum will display artifacts such as slag, nails, and reproductions of Celtic rock carvings, highlighting the historical significance of iron production in the region.
