Descoperire arheologică rară în Iași. Trei morminte din epoci diferite, găsite într-o necropolă cu tumuli • Newsweek România
Archaeologists uncovered three graves from different historical periods in a burial mound in Andrieșeni, Iași County. This discovery, made during a research campaign in July, sheds light on the area's historical inhabitants. Two graves date back to the late Bronze Age and early Iron Age, while the third is from the 10th-11th centuries, linked to Turanic populations. The unusual location of the tumuli in the Jijia floodplain, rather than elevated areas, adds to the significance of the find. Ongoing research involves modern non-invasive techniques and will continue in September to further document the necropolis.
