A Spanish-Egyptian archaeological team has uncovered a remarkable tomb from the late Fifth Dynasty in Saqqara, featuring two funerary chapels and colorful reliefs depicting agricultural scenes and offerings. Led by Spanish Egyptologist Josep Cervelló, the excavation revealed an impressive structure commissioned by a high official, Yunmen, for himself and his father, Iti. The tomb, dating back to 2494–2345 BC, showcases exceptional preservation of original colors in the reliefs, providing insights into daily life and economic activities in ancient Egypt. The discovery is significant for understanding the social dynamics and rituals of the time, with ongoing research planned to explore further structures in the area.
