Descoperire arheologică la Corabia: obiecte recuperate din Dunăre, în zona podului lui Constantin cel Mare
Several artifacts have been recovered from the Danube near the bridge of Constantine the Great and brought to the Museum in Corabia. These include lead pieces associated with the bridge's structure and a fragment of an amphora. Mirela Trandafir from the Corabia City Hall announced the findings, highlighting their historical significance. The artifacts, dating back to the 4th century AD, are linked to one of the major engineering projects of antiquity. The recovery was aided by diver Iulian Rusu, and further archaeological research is expected on these items. This discovery emphasizes the importance of the Roman bridge remains in the Sucidava-Celei area, enhancing the understanding of ancient construction techniques.
