Prosecutors conducted ten home searches in Slatina related to an organized crime group involved in human trafficking and extortion. The group, formed in 2018, allegedly provided illegal loans with high interest rates and used threats for debt recovery. They also recruited victims through manipulation, forcing them into prostitution both in Romania and abroad, particularly in France, where they facilitated their exploitation.
