Derapaj. Mesajul unei deputate USR pe un grup intern de la Parlament: „De ce avem mai mulți gay decât femei în guvern?”

A scandal erupted in the Romanian Parliament after USR deputy Diana Stoica questioned the number of LGBTQ+ individuals compared to women in the new government. Her WhatsApp message, which was later deleted, sparked outrage and was labeled homophobic. Cătălin Drulă denied authorship of the message, which was circulated without attribution. ACCEPT's Florin Buhuceanu condemned the remarks, emphasizing that criticism of women's representation should not involve homophobic comments. He warned that such statements could discourage LGBTQ+ individuals from seeking public office and risk repeating past societal mistakes regarding discrimination.
