The Environmental Guard's investigation indicates that the waste deposit in Vidra and the wastewater treatment plant in Glina are likely sources of unpleasant odors reported by Bucharest residents. Following numerous complaints, 55 operators were checked, resulting in fines totaling 795,000 lei and the suspension of three activities for legal violations. Additionally, 22 compliance measures were identified for the Vidra waste deposit and Glina treatment plant, which will be monitored. The National Environmental Guard will also conduct objective measurements of the Vidra waste deposit's capacity, which residents have been awaiting.
