Depoul de tramvaie din Galați, modernizat cu 35 de milioane de euro

The tram depot No. 1 in Galați is undergoing modernization with a budget of approximately 178.4 million lei. The project includes refurbishing tracks, upgrading maintenance workshops, and installing a new tram washing station. The consortium executing the work includes Citadina 98, Tancrad, Lemacons, and Oldroad Construct, with Tancrad as the lead. The washing station will feature advanced equipment for cleaning and water treatment. This modernization aims to enhance the infrastructure for tram maintenance and complements the recent acquisition of 18 new trams. The overall investment is part of a larger municipal project, funded through the Regional Program Southeast 2021-2027, with a total value of around 63 million euros. Work began in August 2025 and is expected to last 24 months.
