Dennis Hesseling (AIE): Neptun Deep va schimba dinamica regională

The Neptun Deep project is set to enhance regional energy dynamics by increasing domestic gas production for both local use and export, according to Dennis Hesseling from the IEA. He noted that gas supply in Central and Eastern Europe has significantly decreased due to reduced Russian gas deliveries. The Baltic Pipe is crucial for supplying Norwegian gas to Poland, while demand for gas in the region is expected to rise as countries transition from coal to natural gas. Hesseling emphasized the need for additional LNG to compensate for the loss of Russian pipeline gas, with increased LNG contracting anticipated from 2025. The Neptun Deep offshore platform has been installed in the Black Sea, with gas production expected to start in 2027, marking a significant step in Romania's energy landscape.
